Hello Everyone,

I have the Viper 791xv installed on my 06 accord ex. For some reason the alarm no longer Chirps when i arm and disarm it. I checked to make sure it isnt in silent mode by doing the following. Anyone know what it can be?

To temporarily turn off the arm or disarm chirps, use Silent

Mode™. Simply press for less than one second before

arming or disarming, and the confirmation chirp(s) will be eliminated

for that one operation only. If you want the arm/disarm

chirps turned off permanently, your dealer can do this for you.

try same thing, as in if the chirps become silent when you press aux then arm or disarm for i cycle,... when chirps programmed to silent the opposite will happen when you press aux first.. or if LED is on solid, its in valet mode,.. lastly id say check butt connects to siren, which should be under dash by firewall,, or if it was grounded outside by siren (ghetto) check the siren ground at siren. the door trigger is hooked up right? i know on older DEI stuff if you open door, assuming door trigger is hooked up, and press lock, then unlock, then lock again fast but deliberate, it will cycle in and out of valet. everything else works properly? does it panic the siren if you set the alarm off?

You more than likely have a connection problem somewhere. If you arm the alarm does it actually arm..doors lock and LED blinks? If not, check your 12v power supply fuse link on the red wire. Otherwise, I am willing to bet one of your siren wires is loose or disconnected. Check the connection at the brown wire on the brain, and the black wire ground. Was there any splicing anywhere along the wire harness to extend the wires for any reason? Hopefully your siren is installed face down and not up..as water may have spilled into it somehow and ruined it. Last case scenario though.
