I usually install DEI products but decided to go with Compustar to try their product on my personal car.
I recently purchased a Compustar FT-6000AS alarm & remote start controller and a P2W9000FMR Remote (https://compustar.com/products/pro/RF-P2W9000-SS.html). The only problem is, I noticed the FT6000AS controller didn't come with an antenna. It did come with an antenna wire but no antenna.
Forgive me for sounding stupid but I'm used to DEI products that come with the antenna. Am I suppose to purchase an antenna separately? If so, can someone tell me which antenna (part number) I need?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
the unit should come witth an antenna.
you will need the ANT-2W-433 antenna

Usually Compustar products come as a two seperate kits. Here is an EBay listing showing the 2 kits. The brain is the same as yours and the remote / antenna kit is a different model. https://cgi./CompuStar-RF-2W900FM-5P2-FT-6200S-Keyless-Remote-Start_W0QQitemZ400083848984QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5d26db0f18
You buy the Alarm or R/S kit. The 6000 series is their newest. You can get a 6000 which is Alarm & R/S or you get a 6200 which is a R/S only. Then you pair it with a Remote / Antenna kit.
The 6000 series can use either the old style 4 pin antenna kits or the new style 6 pin antenna kits. You will notice that the brain has both 4 & 6 pin blue connectors on it. The remote you mentioned is the new 6 pin style. The remote kit comes with 2 remotes, the correct antenna and the antenna harness. Buying the atenna seperately is expensive.
The other issue you might run into with Compustar is that there are certian Options you can only program with the OP500 Programmer ( think BitWriter ).
