Use the dome light or pop the back of inst. panel and go off the rear of the warning light.

Got the door trigger wired, found it thanks guys. but now the unlock disarm doesnt unlock the doors. I reset the alarm. It worked for a sec and now it doesnt work. The actual door lock/unlock lever works in the car, so i dont know what it can be. Faulty alarm? any suggestions on correcting problem?

@tedmond I hooked up my DMM to the unit there are signal that come out of unlock/lock wires. The alarm will unlock every now and then but not consistent. it locks perfectly, but unlock is inconsistent. Perhaps I need to ask what is the proper procedure to get a reading from my DMM. This is what I did. Plug the positive in to the 12 volt source and negative into the unlock and unlock. both gave a signal. Is that the correct procedure?

Is your car an Accord SE?  Here is an interesting note from Buldog Security:
NOTE *1 ON SE MODELS, USE THE FACTORY ALARM ARM WIRE FOR LOCK RED / YELLOW (-) AND FACTORY DISARM FOR UNLOCK RED / BLUE (-). THE FACTORY ALARM IS LOCATED UNDER PASSENGER FRONT SEAT.

If not an SE, then you might try "strengthening" up your (-) unlock signal with the use of a relay triggered by the R/S.  You can test this theory first by just pulsing the cars unlock wire with a short jumper wire attached directly to chasis ground.  If that consistantly unlocks the doors then a relay is in order.

@tedmond Its some generic brand. JC Power Audio Systems.

@kreg357 it does not have a factory alarm and is the LX model. A friend of mine mention something about double pulsing the signal. However I was clueless on how to do that. When you mention strengthening the unlock signal with the use of a relay triggered by the R/S; Remote Start I assume? Correct me if am wrong, im still learning my acronyms within this site. Before that I will test the theory tomorrow with the method you outlined above. And Hopeful get this issue resolved.

@kreg357 testing the unlock wire with a jumper wire concluded that i do need a relay to strengthen up the pulse. How do i do that?

Your alarm is FAULTY! NEVER known a Honda to need a relay, still, if you want to waste money, alarm's lock output to 85, constant 12v+ to 86, good ground to either 30 or 87 and to unlock from either 30 or 87.

@howie ll its cheap alarm. Personally I wouldn't have purchase this item to install on any of my vehicles. I did the installation for my nephew's friend. The alarm was only 30 bucks plus the relay and a variety of connectors. All in all 44 dollars total. Got the relay and finished installation 40 mins ago.

@tedmond I figured from the help here and research online, it was either a faulty alarm and or needed some added push from a relay to get it working.

Good experience though. Learned a lot from everyone here, and previous forums with related issues. Never had a problem with the viper alarms I installed on two vehicles a few months back.

Thanks for all the help again guys.
