I have installed a Viper 5301 kit with the Canmax400dei bybass kit into a 2005 Honda Odyssey and everything is fine except occasionally when I remote start the car the engine will short crank and engine and stop and will continue to try starting the engine every 10 secs but it won't start. This only happens maybe 1 out of 25 times but it's annoying. I know there might be some issues with the fuel pump not pressurizing with the remote starter. I thought about the security key but everything is hooked up and works most of the time. Also thought about trying to hook up the wait to start signal line.

Need some help on this little issue.

But this Viper unit does not need the tach signal. It has the smarttach.

because this engine has a coil pack it does not have a distributor system in this vehicle . Therefore the is no true tach. However a tach signal needs to be generated for RPM and diagnostic purposes. The PCM (Powertrain Contol Module) generates this signal. Voltage is extremely low.

pdjr165 gave you the correct answer. Hook up the tach wire and Learn the tach. Put in tach mode

Problem solved permanently

Tach wire is WHITE/ GREEN at PCM underhood
