Subject: What is the best alarm?

I know nothing about alarms and i was wondering what is good make or model? I was looking for a simple alarm to install because I've never put one in. Probably one that is not realy expensive. If anyone has a clue on what alarm I should get, or just your opinion on certin makes or modles, please help me out. Thanks

I've always liked Alpine and Ungo alarms. The fad now is to get one that has 2 way communication on it with remote starter option.

is it true that the bypass kits without the use of keys are not as reliable and you have to do alot more work in the steering column which can be bad if you want to take it out?

No it is not true, I have installed hundreds of the bypass kits without keys and they all work 100%. The amount of wires you have to attach in about 2 more than a key required kit, but you have to program the keyless kit which is not a big deal. For removal all you have to do is to cut the wires at the splice and in some cases reattach the DATA wire and that's it.

Definitely Code Alarm!
Most of your relay's are on-board, Polarity of each option is made by how you place the fuse inside of the module (Less wiring). 250ft + range (on the alarm system model) Dual LED's (1 for each side of the steering column (cool). The systems module looks alot like an OEM module. The connectors to the module are heavy duty Data type connectors, not your typical "white" pull and
un-plug type. 3 year warranty. Programming is simple.
Not an easy to find unit either, to buy and put in yourself like most others that are flooded across Ebay.
A very professional system and they don't make VCR's, radio's or Blow dryers, Just Security. Definitely code alarm!

I'm surprised no one mentioned DEI alarms such as Clifford and Viper... I was told Clifford AG4 was the ultimate in car security just without a pager. Oh well every1 has their own opinions i guess.
