i did an alarm/start compustar pro yday for my aunt, and let me tell you, more than half the wires listed are wrong.

i cross referenced from astrochart, audiovox, omega, and autostart. The only correct wiring diagram was Fortin, and they have such limited info (lock/unlock/start related wires/trunk)

no door trigger info. I couldnt fine the wires for the life of me. I ended up wiring up the start portion only.

Thanks so much I work in dealer. I purchase a Prestige alarm remote start from the guy that usually install system for our dealer but I think he is limited in information. He did my alarm but the remote trunk only work in the first couple minute and then it won't open the trunk at all. I can hear the clicking sound in the relay but cannot open the hatch. And we found out the factory alarm is way more user friendly than aftermarket. e.g it can open the side door or hatch without press unlock button. but I need a long range remote start so I go for aftermarket. Still love the factory remote. Thanks for all. by the way where is the ECU locate with red wire? Happy New Year

ecm is left of the steering collum.

in order for the trunk to work, you need to double pulse the unlock wire to unlock ALL doors then it will open. As far as sliding doors, you can go to the contact switch itself and wire a relay in. This is what i did for my aunt.

I ended up finishing the entire install with trunk and door triggers. The hood pin must be run, i tripped check and couldnt find the wire.

Anyone else who worked on a 2011 Sienna, are 3 of the wires in the ignition connector a noticeably smaller gauge?

I have not done a new sienna but I've done a couple new toyotas and they have had small gauge wires at the ing switch.

this is true, at the ignition the sienna and corolla (09) i did had wires that were smaller than 20gauge, i couldnt even strip the wires with the wire stripper.

just used a olfa knife and trimmed the plastic off the wire.

Wow, thanks for the information. I managed to install the thing last night.. 5 hours straight til 2am haha. Problem at the end is the remote start and engine running but then it shutdown (3 times) I think either I connect the Blue (+12 Accessory) wire to the remote start which I don't need (cause I don't have smart-key) and it cause the Compustar to go crazy. Or I need to setup the tach sensing mode, which I need a 4 button remote (I bought the one button Compustar CS600-1). Hopefully I can get it fix today when I get home :) It getting colder here.

Where is the

Parking Lights (+)     brown     +     dash fuse box, white 36 pin plug (2H), pin 30

I can only find the (-) Parking Light anyway. On my remote start it has a positive and a negative wire. Can I just use the (-) 250mA Light Output and connect it to the (-) Parking Light wire and have the parking light working when the remote start working ? Or I need also the positive wire from the Compustar (+) Power to the Parking Light that connect to the (+) Parking Light ?

Thanks

Ok, I got the lock/unlock and the light/horn working now. The only problem now is the remote start won't start. It start for 1 second and then the engine got cut off, then the next 2 tried it can't even crank, like the energy was cut off from the car and the remote start can't do anything. Do you think my bypass is not working right ? I already try to re-program it several times and it said it complete successfully.

Had a similar issue with my 11 Sienna and compustar. I just moved the gray/red wire from the bypass to the other side of the cut IMI wire. Fixed my problem.

Ok It was my falult. I got it now, I was putting the white and WHITE/ black wire wrong to the IMI (purple line) - wrong end of the cut so that why the bypass wasn't working. I swap them around and it's working now. Everything working and I can say with the instruction from Fortin it was a pretty easy job, just have to be very careful with the instruction and double/triple check everything
