Hi,

I recently installed the viper 5901 on my Corolla 2010. I was wondering where I need to go to program the alarm for triggering, when I smack the car a little bit? When I do that it just turn on the light (flash them) and then my 2 way remote emit the alert. But I also want the alarm be trigger.

In addition I saw other alarm (not the viper, a very cheap one) that just when you try to open the door it sounds (with the door locked), any idea of how to do this?

It sounds like you need to adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor. Setting them is an art - too sensitive and they false alarm all the time, not sensitive enough and they never go off.

Some cars will turn on the dome light if you simply lift up on the door handle (even if locked). This can be used to set the alarm off on certain cars. This is a car specific feature, not an alarm specific feature.

Thanks for reply.

If I one to set the chirp on when I lock the car, where is that option is located?

I only found in the manual how to put in silence when locking/unlocking.

The chirp is on by default.

Have you installed a SIREN? Does it sound when you trigger the alarm?

I just want to confirm that this one XK05 Programmable Platform will be compatible with the Viper 5901.

I installed the alarm with the RS but the car will not start if the key is not in the starter. So I want a method that I do not need the key in the starter to remote start it.

all XK product are compatible with Viper (all DEI) product....

having said that, i would still probably use an I-data piece myself......

Page 17 in the owner's guide :

Arm, Details: The siren in the vehicle will "chirp" once and the parking lights will flash once.

But mine only flash once... any ideas?
Its like mine is permanently in silent mode...

Does the Siren sound if you trigger the alarm?

I triggered the alarm by locking it and with my key unlock the door and then open it. The alarm start like beep beep beep and the the horn...

But I noticed a weird thing. My stock alarm is still working how I disable it?!

In my corolla if I lock the door with my key the stock alarm will activate...

I solved the problem with the chirp at the time of arm/disarm.

Was necessary to reprogram it with the Feature programming instructions.

I have another question, when I try to open the trunk using the f and then pressing Aux its said "Pulsed"... that is the correct sequence?

Because my trunk is not opening. I think maybe the guy did not installed it.

don't press f     just press and hold the AUX button for 3-4 seconds.... it is a delayed validity circuit.... this will of course only pop the trunk if you paid to have trunk release connected....
