I am looking for the installation guide/manual for a python 460max alarm. I had one installed but need to double check the wiring.

I found the wiring guides for my 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, but need the wiring and manual for the alarm.

The door lock relay for the alarm clicks 3-4 times when I unlock the doors and this causes the doors to relock. Someone told me that on my old alarm it was installed with a diode to fix this problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

I have no idea of the differences of the HP to the MAX, but this should at least be similar to what you have.

I took a quick look at the alarm today (Python 460Max) and the door lock problem has something to do with the internal relay in the alarm itself.

When the alarm unlocks the doors I can feel and hear, the internal relay clicking multiple times. On the door lock cycle the relay only engages once.

Because of this, at times it causes the doors to relock and it take a few presses of the button to get the doors to stay unlocked.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

If the system has a RE-ARM and DIS-ARM wire, you can use these instead of the door lock wires.

I am not sure what you are refering to. Do you mean to use the arm/disarm wire to activate the door locks instead?

Yes, if the door lock and unlock pulses are not working properly, the DISARM and ARM wires would be a substitute for them. The only thing to remember is to change any setting that were required for the locks and change them to the ARM & DISARM wires like double pulse unlock ( if required )

I do not need the double pulse unlock and that may actually be the problem. If it is sending a double pulse, the alarm is causing the doors to relock. How can I turn that off?

It also may be an electronics problem. Today the issue seems to be that when the doors unlock, they immediately relock and do so again if I try and unlock them

The relay on the alarm may be sticking. I am thinking about cutting the door lock/unlock wires temporarily so that I can troubleshoot

The system may be in passive lock mode.

It probably is in passive lock mode. I wanted the installer to set it up to lock the doors automaticaly.
