Hey all. quick question, i have a friend with a 2006 pontiac torrent. installed is a 2 way compustar with a fortin passlock sl2 for a bypass. Seems everything works perfectly, with the exception that when it gets cold, the truck cranks but will not fire up. I am thinking either the bypass module or the tach setting may have to be re-learned. just wondering if someone has come across this situation before,

Any advice or tips would be appreciated

I am not at all familiar with the bypass you mentioned, does it have a halo that goes around the key cylinder?  If so, try moving it around the next time it is cold.

Or extend the crank time fractionally OR reprogramme tach whilst increasing the engine revs from idle.

Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

for those vehicles, i deal withcompustar alot.

program the tach in settings for optimal tach level, but program tach when engine is cold, it wont over crank

another problem can be bypass. the passlock sl2 is a hardwire bypass, no halo.
