I lost the 2 way remote but still have the 1 way remote so I cleared all remotes from the system so the 2 way remote can't access the system. Are the 2 way and 1 way remotes that came with the system on the same frequency/code so that if I re-add the 1 way remote, it'll automatically add the lost 2 way remote?

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable one key from the ignition system so that it can't start the car? I am trying to avoid paying an arm and a leg to replace all the locks.

Seems that you can but if you lose all the master keys the tansponder key ECU must be replaced

Thanks for the file. I'll try to do that.

once you delete all the remotes from the alarm, you can reprogram the 1 way remote by itself. remotes have to be programmed individually so you wont have to worry about the lost remote. as far as the key, the year, make & model of the car would be helpful to give you some options

You got it. That was very good guess.

So according to the instruction in this file, I could follow the steps in section "3. Erasure of transponder key code" to remove master and sub keys from the transponder computer before adding the existing keys back? I was worried that if I removed all the key then I won't be able to add them back because all the keys have been cleared from the computer and the computer would need at least 1 master key to program additional keys.

Can someone confirm what I've described above is correct?
Thanks.

I have tried to program an additional key with the instructions from the file several times but could not get it to program. Has anyone successfully program a key with a Sequoia 06?

it is possible that the key you have is not a master. I don't know how you can tell a master from a sub.

Isn't the master key the one with black rubber head and the sub is the one with grey head (valet key)?
