I recently installed a Python 991 alarm/RS system into my 2006 Mustang. Everything works fine as far as the alarm goes, but I have a question about the remote.

On some of the older Viper systems I have seen (5000 in particular) the remote will "retain" a warning/alarm page alert on the screen until a button is pushed.

This new system, however, only shows the page alert on the remote for a little bit of time and then returns to the status screen like nothing happened. Is there a way to change this behavior? Do the Viper branded remotes do this as well? I'd even be willing to go with a 5902 remote if it will fix this behavior.

Any thoughts?

As far as i know it wont stay on the screen. if another alarm goes off (and the iginition wire hasnt been switched) it will reappear and when you disarm with will beap a certain number of times reminding you that it was tripped.
