1995 Ford Bronco w/ keyless entry (No PATS or transponder)

Viper 160XVL remote start unit.

Alarm and Remote Start has been working great for about 2 years. Just replaced the fuel pump with another manf. (read: not factory OEM pump).

Now the truck runs great with the new fuel pump, but strangely enough the remote starting stopped working.

Nothing else was changed.

Symptoms- Parking lights flash confirmation of remote start command from fob. Dash lights light up (ignition ON). The fuel pumps whines for about .5 secs, then the remote start shutsdown. Happens everytime.

Cannot locate my Bitwriter right now :(

Has anyone seen this before? Is this common?

Please chime in.

Also try hitting the button to remote start it, and at the same time in which it would turn the starter, you turn the key to the start position, let it run for a few seconds and turn the key off and remove it from the ignition switch.  All this making sure to not depress the brake.  If the car remains running, you only have a problem with the start wire.  If it does not continue to run, you have deeper issues.

Or physically check the R/S starter output with a meter whilst attempting the R/S. Have you checked the R/S fuses?

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
