I'm trying to install a Avital 4103 & DBALL bypass in my 2010 Toyota Prius. I have both modules wired up with the exception of the yellow ignition output wire on the 4103. At this point, I get no power lights on either module. They are hooked up via the D2D wire.
I have the black ground wire and the Red 12V high current input wires hooked up on the 4103. I've verified that I'm getting 12V to them, but no power lights.
Any suggestions?

What do you mean no lights on the 4103? Have you tried using the keyless portion of the system? Have you tried to program the 4103 or the DBALL? The LEDs never light up? You have verified that you have +12V on both of the 4103's input reds? You have verified that your ground is good, to a clean, paint and primer free area of the kick panel?

One each of the Avital 4103 box and the DBALL box, there is a single status led. Ive yet to see either light up.
I tried the key fobs that came with the 4103. Both fobs green light come on, but nothing happens on the 4103.
I haven't tried programming either module yet, since I haven't even gotten them to power on.
I've only had +12v to either one of the red power wires at a time.
I've verified (on the 4103) that I have 12v going between the red pin and the black pin on the other connector for ground.
I had just assumed that I needed some other wire hooked up or signal present before it would power up.
I don't have any of the wires on the remote start harness hooked up yet.

finish the install the whole way before posting for help.
those aren't "power lights" they are programming lights.

according to the install manual for the DBALL ,
I need to hook up a (+) Ignition Input wire
into my Avital 4103. Any idea which wire this would be?
All of the ignition wires on the avital are labelled output, not input.

ok, I bought the xkloader2 and programmed my dball for my 2010 toyota prius. Now it at least comes on correctly and has a good green status light. at this point, it looks like the avital has a red flashing light. When I try to remote start, my dashboard lights up, it looks like my car is on, but doesn't ever start. after about 1 minute, it shuts off. going to check over my wiring to make sure I didn't miss anything.
Any ideas why this might be happening?

I figured out that I needed to redo the engine start programming sequence on my car for the dball. Once I did this and let my car start up AND wait until the engine started like it normally does, then the dball was programmed.
At this point, my car now remote starts fine, but it shuts off after 10 seconds or so.

Finally figured this out, thanks to Thack79 and Mike M2's posts.
I connected the large purple starter wire on the avital to the pink starter wire on the dball and now my car starts properly.
