about to do my first install on my new car i bought and i am curious as to why my remote start harness has 4 ignition out puts when my car only has two....this may sound confusing the way i worded it so let me go into detail with a diagram.

ok the car is a 99 Acura integra 2 dr 5speed

the 12VOLT diagram of this car shows a igntion1 and ignition 2

Now my alarm and remote start system is a viper 5902.

the install wire diagram that comes with the 5902 has 5 ignition outputs/inputs

the H3 remote start 10 pin conector harness shows H3/1 to be + ignition 1 input/output and H3/2 +(FUSED) (30A) ignition2 /Flex relay input 87

then on the same connector H3. it says H3/6 (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT  then it says it again at H3/7(+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX REALAY OUTPUT.

Now it says something about ignition again on the H2 Harness (the 18 pin one)   H2/14 (-) 200mA ignition 1 output

My question is

1) what in the word is a flex relay < flux capiactior maybe :dunno:

2) what do all of those ignition input/out puts do

3) wich 2 wires do i hook to my ignition harnes and what do i do with the other 2

4) why is there a input / output thing why not just a input?

5) my alarm system there were no relays in the box....do i need any?

1) Flex relay is specially designed for vehicles that need ignition switch isolation, in your case not needed.

2) These outputs and inputs all function but in your case all are not needed

3) You car would only be using the wires on the heavy harness, namely, pink - igniton, pink/white -ignition 1, orange- accessory,

4) again that input output is only for the flex relay ignore it

5) No.

Ok im showing on that (H3) REMOTE START HARNESS THE (10 PIN) CONNECTOR

AS Pink being H3/1 +IGNITION 1

AND THE COLOR YOU SAID PINK/WHITE  BEING H3/7 IGNITION 2

so how did u get pink white being ignition 1?

what about the wires on the remote start harness that are fused? shouldnt i use them instead of the wires that are not fused.

All the fused wires go to a proper 12 volts source (such as at the ignition harness), the pink is what you refer to as ignition 1 and the pink/white is ignition 2, however installers refer differently to them.

so do i used the fused wires on the viper harness or the unfused ones?

H3/1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT / OUTPUT

H3/2 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87

H3/6 RED  (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT

H3/7 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT

Above listed is what i read off the wiring guide for the viper 5902. I typed it exactly as it was on the paper wich ones do i use? Thank you very much for all your help sorry im noob status lol

All the reds go to a proper constant twelve volt source, you will be using all the wires you listed above.

Four wires into two? All three reds on the heavy harness and the red on the primary harness to a 12 volt source, how much more clarity do you need?

First you MUST test and verify the wires on your car with a Digital Mulit Meter (DMM).

Bulldog site for wiring: https://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.asp  This any any other wiring diagrams are ONLY a guide. You car may have different colors, hence the need to test all wires BEFORE making any connections.

H3/6, H3/9, and H1/2, will go to the cars 12 volt constant.  H3/1 to vehicle ignition 1. H3/3 to vehicle accessory. H3/4 to starter wire, if not cutting starter wire.

Use the search box for this site for your vehicle and viper 5902

In the downloads section of this site is the manual for the Viper 5701. Download it. Starting on page 13 is a section on how to find the wires you need with a DMM.

Please do not attempt this yourself, from your questions I can tell you that you are going to cause your self lots of expensive grief.
Do you have a DMM?

OK then back to your first post;
you're questioning the site here, take your DMM and test!!!
Once we know what you have we might be able to help.
No one here will hold your hand through this install, it isn't worth our time and repeatedly telling you "I told you do do this" etc.
This really is a pro install although the car is dead easy.
We haven't even got to basics such as is there a factory alarm and or immobiliser; the only person who can tell us is you!

Read my post from Feb 15.  Howie II is correct on how easy this car should be. Get the meter out and test.

Smokeman, I think this could be the new record post unless the moderators come in on this one. I see t&t quite rightly lost it with the poster.

Sorry, hit the post button too early.
It doesn't have a NSS, the clutch switch is NOT one.

Or perhaps even RTFM.
We really shouldn't have to answer these questions.
