I am installing a K9 Eclipse alarm into a 2002 Chevy Avalanche and am confused about the door locks.
The alarm comes with a 6 pin connector designated for the door locks and the manual reads:

Violet: Unlock relay input Pin #87 (N/O)
Blue: Unlock Relay Output pin #30 (Common)
Brown: Unlock Relay Input Pin #87A (N/C)

Violet/Blk: (Lock Relay Input Pin #87 (N/O)
GREEN/ Blk: (Lock Relay Output pin #30 (Common)
WHITE/ Blk: (Lock Relay Input Pin # 87A (N/C)

My question is do I really need to make a relay for the door locks or can I just hook up 1 wire to Lock and 1 wire to Unlock? And if 1 wire only is needed which one do I connect? The outputs?

There was already an aftermarket alarm installed but it was old and didn't come with the remotes... hence why it needs a new one... And it only had 2 door lock outputs that went one to the Lock and one to Unlock.

The lock wires on the vehicle are positive.

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
-Thank you-

The locks on the 2002 Avalanche are Type A (+).  The internal relays are prefect for that
application.  Connect both Violet and Violet/Black to +12v through a 15A fuse.  Connect the
GREEN/ Black lock wire to  the LT. BLUE wire  @ BCM, BROWN PLUG, PIN A4.  Connect the Blue
unlock wire to the WHITE @ BCM, BROWN PLUG, PIN A3.  The Brown and WHITE/ Black are not used
and should be insulated.
