Hey all, i recently did an Avital 5303 alarm and remote start on this vehicle and used a DBALL bypass took the can high and can low wires from the diagnostic plug under the driver's dash,however no matter what i did the DBALL did not program .What happened was the module would program with the LED going green and then flash and then turning off then it would turn green and turn off again,i tried for hours but no go ,even took the can high and can low from the BCM behind the glove box and the module did the same thing. Any reason its doing this? thanks for any help..................................triniforever

Did you use D2D or W2W? The Avital stuff doesn't play well with D2D.

Did you try with the doors closed? I work at a nissan dealer & use the automate am6.2 + dball. Though I have never had any problems programmimg.

we hook up the GREEN / WHITE door pin output from the dball to the hood pin input of the r.start. This allows a better takeover & you don't need to interupt the security light wire. We tage the can wires at the diag port.

Other than that its a very simple install

I tried a new DBALL and it programmed right up so i guess the first module was bad and i didnt need to interupt the security light cuz when the key tookover the light went out and didnt flash.........and hoodpin wire trick sounds interesting i will try it next time ........thanks .....................triniforever
