I just installed a viper 5902 in my 2000 silverado the 5902 replaced my 550 esp the problem I'm having is when I remote start the truck it throws a code for the torque converter if I use the the key before I remote start it works fine until I remote start again I've searched but cannot find an answer also the 550 has been working fine no codes for 6 years the 5902 is connected the same as the 550 was I can't believe that this is a fluke and my truck has problems right after I install the new alarm thanks

You most likely don't have an ignition or accessory wired correctly.

Ignition wires stay powered while cranking, accessory wires drop out while cranking. The newer systems have many more programmable options then the older so something may be programmed different.

Also, the newer alarms have an extra power feed for the relay pack - it needs to be connected to 12vdc. I believe it is a heavy RED / white wire but check the installation manual to be sure. If you don't hook this wire up some of your outputs won't be powered when remote starting.

Connect the RED, RED / WHITE and RED / BLACK also I believe a second RED on H1/.
Otherwise, X2 with K.P., I'm guessing the second ACC.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Thanks the RED / white is the one I was missing it powers the ignition 2 relay lol the older units had jumpers to power the other relays sometimes we need a second pair of eyes to help us see what's right in front of us thanks again
