hello all. thanks for having a look at this thread.

I have fitted alot of viper alarms and alarms in general and this is the first time iv had a problem later down the track. 2 months ago i fitted a 350plus two way alarm. as said its been in their for 2 or more months and no problems.

basically the alarm started going off randomly while car is running. the unlocking and locking of the alarm / central locking. but the alarm stays on, i have a bitwriter tool and reset the alarm and the alarm still has the same problem. is this a fairly common problem?

Have you wired the yellow to the ignition?

Make sure you haven't a dry solder joint and it's correctly grounded, so check the voltage between the black and yellow wires with the ignition on.
Possibly faulty if the above is OK.

the alarm wouldnt work at all if their was no earth

dont know what diode, but often alarms go faulty sort of the same problem i have.

the parkers or indicators what ever u connect stays on its caused by a diode

You need to go to your earth to check the ignition.
That simple test will tell you everything, hence there's no point posting until you test.
Stop fumbling with the diode comment, only relevant as 2 x 1N5404s on the white indicator wire. Absolutely nothing to do with the alarm turning on.
Unless it's a faulty unit (very unlikely) it isn't seeing the ignition when ignition is turned on.
Don't expect any other answers until you've tested.
Please read my signature line it should be the first port of call for amateurs.

OK but you've got sweet buggerall choice in the Antipodes, I should know, my daughter just moved to Kiwi land.
The 350 is an entry level product, not for pros.
That doesn't mean though that it's build quality is inferior to the ho-hum build quality of the rest of the DEI product.
IMO previous gen Clifford made in the US and Compustar, made in Japan are vastly superior.

Hi guys, today I had the same problem, I start my car this morning and suddenly the alarm activate and won't go off, using the remote control and valet bottom to deactivate it but didn't respond, I disconnect the alarm and reconnect it to see if it will reset it but the problem still on.
I test the module just wire it the 12VDC and the ground, the module start with the alarm on, I can hear the relay switching for the parking light, the kill relay is activated, brown cable Siren is on.

Need help, what would be the problem? how can I deactive the alarm? is there something in the module is faulty and need to be replace?

if you have an alarm that has the valet switch( the button used to manually disarm the alarm) on the antenna, then it could be a loose antenna wire or broken antenna. if thats the case then all you can do is find the fuse for the alarm and pull it out.
