installing a viper 5904, im doing a complete silent install, no siren, no light flash, nothing except the 2 way remote notifying me of the status along with smart start gps to track it online if it were to be stolen. i've got everything setup good except for when the alarm is set off, the alarm "brain" itself is clicking over and over, which i assume to be for the light flash, i dont want a would be thief to able to hear this clicking and know there is an alarm and be able to locate the module, its not in a traditional location. i removed the on board fuse and it still clicks. i've gone over the install manuals and cannot find what i need to disable it. im not afraid to open the module myself and remove the relay, but would prefer to not have to.

So, you want them to break your window... Steal the Car... Joy ride for Awhile... Make it back to the Chop-Shop... Half-Way tear the car down and then you wake up and realize your car was stolen. Is it your Goal to Catch the thief in action, Otherwise, it is the alarm's siren and light flashing that scare away a would-be thief.

Why not save $$$ and simply buy a remote start?

i already bought the alarm and have it 99% installed. my original thoughts were for me to confront the thief without suspect of alarm. but after reconsidering i do want the alarm to have the siren going off, but still do not want the alarm module to be clicking so the thief cannot find it. so is it possible to do this?

Don't worry if the siren's going off and it's worthwhile being creative with say a second siren as a sound blaster somewhere in the car, that thief ain't going to be hanging around long enough to worry about a faint clicking noise.

What vehicle, I could then possibly give you some nice and easy obscure places to hide it where you could still get at it if necessary.

just open the module and remove the relay, or see if it may have a part in series with the coil that can be removed.

Not a great idea, 6 relays under hood* plus a trannie driver for the siren.
*Just a guess based on it's functions.
Ignition
Start
ACC
2nd Ign. or ACC
Anti-grind
Lights.......
