Has anyone installed door lock actuators in a 1999 jeep wrangler with removable doors?my question is how did you wire them-did you use some kind of plug so the doors can still be removed.

Yep, many time and since it's just 2 wires just use covered spade terminals, reversing one side so it can only plug in one way...

What about the contactors from sliding door kits?
Look in the Metra catalogue.

Male/Female Spades... Molex plugs from radio shack... All have been used in the past for this job...

Tommy, just noticed your signature. May I use I can't be bothered with apathy?
Since I'm semi-retired, it's brass monkeys and the clocks in the UK go to winter time tomorrow, I want to procrastinate until spring.

Of Course...

If i remember correctly... The nylon straps that hold the door from opening fully has slits in both ends and is a nice sleeve for after-market wiring...

all good idea's!i will see the vehicle next week to get an idea of which set-up to use..i like the sliding door contacts-just not sure if they'll line up correctly.

Lining them up is where the plasticine (play dough? modelling clay?) comes in.
