Hey Guys,

Desperately Need some assistance here.

Installing a Compustar Cm6200 in a 2010 Ford Focus with the IDATALINK ADS_TB with fm firmware.

I started by disconnecting the negative from the battery.

Then i moved on and made my connections from the idatalink module to the vehicle pats connector.
Idatalink TX to vehicle violet/grey
Idatalink RX to vehicel Yellow/Orange
Connected the idatalink pink ignition to the green ignition from the compustar.

Then i moved on to the ignition harness
starter wire to vehicle  blue/white
ignition wire to vehicle BROWN / yellow
accessory wire to vehicle PURPLE / green

Connected the 12v from the starter to the main 12v harness from vehicle.

Connected the -250mA lock wire to the vehicle blue/green wire on the grey 26pin connector at the SJB
Connected the -250mA unlock wire to the vehicle yellow/purple wire on the grgey 26pin connector at the SJB
Connected the -250mA trunk Release to the vehicle brown at trunk release switch.

Connected the 12V+ parking lights to the PURPLE / white + wire on the grey 13pin connector at the SJB

I reconnected the negative terminal to the battery and proceeded to program my IDATALINK and compustar remotes. (both programmed properly)

I was able to remote start the vehicle successfully. The parking light work fine.

The lock/unlock and trunk pop do not work.

When i started the vehicle i noticed that the Drivers Information Center in the dash is showing that all four doors and the trunk are open.

I am able to lock and unlock the vehicle from the factory key fob, but not the aftermarket fob, nor the lock/unlock rocker switches on the front drivers and passengers doors in the vehicle.

Also, i am unable to shift the vehicle from park.  (without using a screw driver to press down the interlock override)

I tested the brake switch and all the brake lights are functioning correctly.

I pulled ALL the fuses in both fuse boxes and cant find any that are blown.

I have re traced all my wires and everything is connected correctly.

The only thing i can think of is that when i disconnected the battery i reset something in the vehicles computer that is not properly functioning.

I am at a complete standstill here and am beyond frustrated.

Im open to any help and all suggestions.

Below are pictures of all of my connections.

Thanks for the help!

Everything looks OK, going by my notes from a 2008 Focus I did a while ago.  ( 2008 - 2011 should be the same.)

You didn't mention a connection to the Brake ( PURPLE / White @ the brake pedal switch) or a Hood Pin
but those shouldn't be an issue.

The only difference I see is I went to a Light Blue (+) wire in the DKP for the Trunk Release.  ( Had to use a relay.)

Did you test and verify all your connections with a DMM?

I did connect the brake, but not the hood.

I verified most of the connections with the DMM. Guess I should have verified them all, if nothing else just to rule out any issues.

I dosconnected all the wiring and I still have the same problems. The car believes that the doors are open.

I shouldn't have any issues with this as I never touched the door trigger wires.

This is making me loose my mind.

Sounds like you somehow locked up the Body Control M0dule (FORD calls it the SJM) . I ve had this similar problem before. Do a MASTER reset on all the computers by disconnecting the battery negative cable. Then with it disconnnected touch it to the POSITIVE side cable for about 5 seconds. This will immediately clear the cpu's and drain the capacitors of a charge that temporarily hold memory.Reconnect negative cable and test.

X 2 with mustyk@att.net That touching together saves 20 minutes wait for the static to dissipate.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

i left the battery disconnected all night and tried what you suggested this morning by touching the negative to the positive.

Still have the same issue, the vehicle thinks its doors and trunk are ajar.

Still wont shift from park.

Went and got a code scanner (reader) and it is not detecting any error codes.

Any other suggestions?

Did you unplug anything in the vehicle? If so, I would triple check any plugs you may have disconnected, also, did you go through the fuse box with a meter and verify all fuses are good ? Visual inspection isn't enough

After walking away from it for a while and coming back with a rested head, I checked all my connections again.

I pulled out the Grey 26pin connector from the smart junction box.
I pulled out the black connector from inside the Grey connector to check my connections and correct pins.

That's when I saw a small arrow on the side of the black connector.
I flipped the connector around, put it back into the Grey connector and slid it back into the SJB.

The stars aligned, clouds parted, and everything went back to normal.

All those problems were due to the fact I had put the connector in backwards.

Boy did I feel like an idiot.

Thanks for all your help.
