Another question about the Viper 5704. Everything appears to be working correctly the only issue is when the vehicle is started remotely I cannot unlock the doors using the remote. When I press the unlock button the remote says it's unlocked but it's not. I need to shutoff the vehicle with the remote and then unlock the doors to get in. The doors unlock and lock correctly using the remote if the car is not started remotely.

It helps to state vehicle make model and year.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.

Also what kind of connection you are making to the door locks (ie hardwired, data interface, etc).

Its a 2008 Toyota Tundra. The guy installing it for me normally does not do Viper but other brands. I just wanted to provide some help if he still has problems.

He probably used the factory arm and factory disarm wires for the door locks. Those wires only lock and unlock with the vehicle off. He needs to wire the power locks of the alarm to the switch power lock and unlock wires and connect the factory disarm wire of the alarm to the factory disarm wire of the vehicle.

All remote starters have some of the same basic functions. Whether it's Viper or not, if you can install one brand, you should be able to install another. The issue here is specific to that vehicle.

It's ok to ask for help (that's why we are here), but at least give us some more info so we can try to help you.

Tell your installer to connect the keysense.
GWR, diode separation if it's running a by-pass to light green, body ECU white 10 pin plug, pin 5.
