Hey everyone; i installed a remote car starter in a 2012 Hyundai Elantra a couple of weeks back and no bypass was needed, i hooked up the door locks with the aftermarket starter too. My question is, sometimes not all the time the doors wont unlock while vehicle is remote started, now when i say they wont unlock i mean when i lock the doors with the aftermarket remote starter and remote start it a couple hours later then hit unlock on the remote starter remote they will not unlock. I know if you use the factory remote & lock the doors and then try to unlock the doors with the remote starter remote they will not unlock. This puzzles me because this isnt a constant issue and it comes and goes, anyone ever run into this situation? Should i program the doors to unlock with a double pulse instead of a single pulse? You think that would change it? Im scratching my head here because all the wires are corrected right and the door lock color is:pink/black and the unlock is:yellow/black near fuse box, white 24 pin plug that's what it states. Any information would be helpful, thanks guys!!!

Thanks, Bri

You could try it this way ( info from Omega ) :

Lock        PINK\BLACK (- LOCK), BROWN (LOCK DETECT)   DASH FUSE BOX WHITE 24 PIN CONN, PINS 23 & 6
Unlock    GREEN (-)       DASH FUSE BOX WHITE 24 PIN CONN, PIN 16 See diagram #240

Kreg is right, you need to connect the detention wire. Be sure to diode isolate them.

Factory Alarm Disarmgreen (key unlock), brown (lock/unlock detection)both -dash fuse box, white 24 pin plug (C), pins 16 and 6
