In the owners manual it says that you can only use the remote start feature 2 or 3 times then you have to start the car with the key before the remote start will work again,My question is if you install an aftermarket remote start in this car will this still happen to the after market one.
I installed a compustar cm4200 with a EVO-CAN and was having problems with the service theft system light coming on.

Not familiar with the EVO CAN but usually you have the wrong security light wire interrupted. Check your connections to make sure everything is right and test with a DMM

no prdjr thats a design the engineers instilled into the factory remote start as they feel a car should not idle for longer than 20 mins without being driven , as to service theft light on is remote start working or not when this message occurs

sometimes the remote start would work fine-then the next try it wouldn't even try to start and the theft system message would come on.I ended up putting in a DB-ALL and programed the compustar to pulse ignition with dis-arm and it seems to be working,I told the customer to call me today with an update.
