Hey everyone, hope you're all well.

I'm doing my first alarm install with a Compustar CM6000 and so far everything seems to be going well except that I'm stuck on a couple of things. Other than that, I'm thoroughly enjoying the little project as I'm a car enthusiast and prefer to learn and do things on my own. I hope some of you can help me with the following:

1. Need to setup a Clutch bypass, so I can activate the Reservation mode for my Manual transmission Supra. The trouble here is, my Supra does not have a Clutch switch. I checked this and double checked this.

2. The Compustar brain does not recognise the tach wire from the ECU harness. Is there another one that I can tap into within the cabin?

Thanks in advance.

I guess the question is, since I don't have a clutch switch, do I still need to bypass it to activate Reservation mode?

I think I'll just try activating.

Hmmm, catch 22, can't activate Reservation mode because I don't have a proper tach wire.

You should be able to pull tach wire from one of the injectors. The injectors will all have one common colored wire and one uncommon. Use the uncommon from any injector. Can you start the vehicle without pushing the clutch in (in neutral obviously)?

Hey offrodzj, thanks for the reply. Found my tach wire and successfully performed tach learning with a happy one chirp from the alarm.

Still unable to activate Reservation mode though. Car does run when I remove the key. But when I open the door and leave the car and then close the door, the car still runs for about 90 seconds. Car would stop running if I arm the car.

Error code from remote start is 3 flashes, then 7 flashes which says the Reservation mode is off.

I've also confirmed my door triggers are working. They both lock and unlock when I tap button 1 & 2 on the remote.

Not sure what the problem is. Can someone please confirm my wiring of the two relays.

Relay One:
Yellow/Black to key side of starter wire, Yellow wire to starter side.
85 (Blue) to CN3 PIN1 (Blue) - Output to starter kill.

Relay Two:
86 & 87 (Red) to battery 12+
85 (Violet) to CN3 PIN7 - 2nd Ignition Output
30 (Blue) to Ignition (BLACK / YELLOW)

There are two ignition (+) wires for the Supra, I can't tell which one should go to Ignition2 on the relay or which should go to CN1 on the Green wire. Would this make a difference?

Oh yeah, I can start the car without pushing the clutch in.

Is that legal in OZ?

It sounds like your door status is not working. What did you connect the door status input (door trigger)? The locks have nothing to do with the door trigger. Both the ignition wire from the unit as well as the ignition wire off the relay are powered at the same time so it doesn't make a difference. It sounds like the system is not reading the door being opened / closed.

Pretty sure door trigger is also correctly wired. Tested this before when I was looking for the wire. If a door is open, the Remote would chirp more than once when I tap button 1. I hooked up CN3 PIN10 (RED / White) to RED / White.

Just tested the door trigger wire RED / White with a DMM and it provides a ground when a door is open and positive when door trigger is triggered (closed).

Going to check emergency brake next.

ebrake confirmed. Provides negative when active, positive when inactive.

Still no remote start :(

Do you have the turbo timer function enabled? Make sure that setting is turned off. That may be what is running the vehicle rather than the reservation mode.
