Well i broke down and am getting a Python 5904 594 alarm/ remote start and key less entry system, Since Directed electronic makes this as well viper, clifford etc. i do not think this should be to much of a problem installing it!

What i have is a 2006 ford mustang gt premium with a aftermaket avital remote start system in it! I wish to install this myself as i want to solder the wires and not use the clip and splices like it has now! So yes this will be my first time installing a alarm/ remote start system! Is this a hard system to install??

What i need to find is a wiring diagram that show were i need to hook up this system too, well a diagram of the wires and there location

next question do i need to disable the ford factory alarm system? and if i need to were is this darn thing at?? i have looked everywhere on the drivers side and the only thing there is that avital remote start system! is the alarm built into the cars ECM?? in the trunk on the pass side is some kind of a horn and nothing on the drivers side

The avital remote start tach wire is hooked up to a fuel injector! is this correct or should it be on one of the coil wires on the plug or should it be on the tach wire under the dash if there is one???

I wish to make like a road map of this install on a wiring diagram before i start this install so i know what goes were!! I have downloaded alot of but it only list and overview of eack component and not a complete view  of all the wires. Sois there a wiring diagram like this???

The unit is not hard to install as long as you know how to properly test the factory wiring for the wires you are hooking up. The door triggers may be a little difficult for you if you dont know how to use a relay.

Yes the factory alarm needs to be disarmed or the factory alarm will sound when using the Python alarm/r.s.

Also, the tach signal is correct at the injector as long as the wire isn't red.

Is this a manual transmission vehicle?

Here are some diagrams for you vehicle:

Hi pts760

Thank you very much for the diagram sites this will be very helpfull!!!

i have a question but you have awnsered it all ready!! i got two new factory remotes today $12. for two of them anyway i programed one of them and i locked the doors and hit the lock button twice and now the fatory alarm all works the tilt sensor and the inside motion sensors!!!

You have said if i am to hook up the python 594 system i have to disable the factory alarm!! that is fine as i think the python system will be a better system all around!! Question is there a way to hook up the factory inside by the map lights motion sensor to the python system??? i have ordered a motion/ radar sensor for this python as well as a voice box but i do not know were it istall this motion / radar sensor i do not want it out in the open to be seen as per my thinking about the factory motion sensor!!!

so i also take it you can not run the factory alarm and the new python 594 system as to have two alarms system!!! I think what you are saying this well lead to a conflict between the two right!!!

i would like to very much on this new python system is to hook up all the options i can, window up and down etc. i do not know what all it can do but i have seen post on the viper 5904 that can do alot of things!

one more question is that the avital remote start 10 pin connector is the same plug it looks like that plugs into the remote start unit as the same plug on the pyton remote start port 10 pin connector do you think that i would not have to rewire the start remote harness????  both unots are made by the same company!!!!

Thanks    Bill
