Hi guys

I installed a clifford matrix 70.5 remote start alarm with window modules a couple years ago in my wifes 2001 mitzubishi galant with a lot of help from guys here on this forum. I really enjoyed doing the install, got a lot of valuable help and it worked flawlessly for the last two or three years untill her car was totolled a couple weeks ago. I pulled the alarm out of the wrecked car just before it was towed in hopes of reinstalling it in her newer 2010 honda accord sedan. The remote has been dead for a while and in need of replacement but now i cannot find a replacement anywhere online. Im bummed to loose the money of what was a great alarm now sitting in a box because of no remote.

So I starting over with a new install and im considering a python 5706.Does anyone have any experience or feedback on this unit? Im told my window module will work fine with this unit. I think the main difference between the 5906 and 5706 is color remote display and an extra aux output.

Thanks alot guys

The Python has "convenience" outputs that should work with the window module without one touch up or down feature. If you have one touch UP or DOWN, then you won't need those, an AUX output or even the LOCK pulse can UP the windows. I just put one in an older vehicle, was easier. Newer ones are harder, needing resistors and so on, like with Chrysler stuff.

The 2 python systems are identical except for the remotes and antennas. Either would be a good choice. the 5906 has a cool remote with alot of functions the 5706 doesnt.

I ended up going with the 5706 my wife's 2010 accord. It was in stock and 200 less. The main features I wanted was remote start and power windows. Maybe the sunroof just for fun.

It a bummer a can't find a replacement remote for this Clifford matrix 70.5. It's a great alarm and I'd install it in my silverado if I could find a remote Any ides?

Thanks man. Are we sure the 7141x will operate all the functions of the matrix 70.5. Remote start and power windows and sun roof is all I'm concerned with. I don't care about the LCD screen.
That would be great to be able to install this in my truck. I spent over 600.00 on it a few years ago and loved it.
