Do you have the correct orange brake wire connected? Is the truck Automatic? If so is the yellow loop cut? And does the unit flash the parking lights 4 times when powered up?

everthing i have read says there is a white brake wire wire but i dont have a white wire so i tested to see and the orange was the ticket. i am not getting any flashes when the unit is powered up. i have cut the loop due to the truck being an auto.

So I am now getting the flashes when the unit is powerd up. But still no response from the remote at all. I have checked all of my connections and all seem to be correct and I have a good ground.
