Hello,

I just added on a smart start to my Python 1400xpl. The unit works great exept, when the Python was originally I stalled, the disarm switch was never connected. This wasn't a big deal since I would just unlock the car prior to starting it.

Now that I have the SmartStarr hooked up, the factory alarm keeps going off when I start it.

I have 2 light green wires in the drivers door boot. Which wire should I use, and do I just run the disarm wire from the python to it, or do I need the relay.

Directech list the Factory Disarm wire as light green under the rear seat by the battery .

You have to test the wire using a DMM or a Probe .

Yes, this.

You'll need a multimeter (preferred) or a test light (LED test light is safest), and the ability to use it. There should be some tutorials on this site somewhere.

Then, touch the tester's probe to the wire you think is the right one, and turn the key in the driver's door to the unlock position.

The wire you're looking for should make a ground when the key is turned to unlock, and at rest (when the key is out), the wire might have no rest state at all, or might rest at 12 volts positive.
