Hello Everyone, New to the site but over the years, I’ve gathered a vast amount of extremely valuable information as a non member and would like to thank each and everyone first and foremost for all the indirect solutions and technical help! Hopefully in the future, I’ll be able to do the same!

I recently installed a Viper 5704V with a Directed D-Ball (Firmware GM5,V3.05 flashed by remote start experts ) for a bypass on a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche.
After the install, I followed sequence for the D-ball Harness connection, followed instructions for programming to vehicle, and Paired the 2-way remote.
All my connections are soldered & heat shrunk. (the main reason for doing the install myself) and the grounds are good.

The good….
Siren functions
Parking lights function

The bad…
Door locks work off the remote while driver’s door is open; will NOT work while doors are closed. Kinda Strange.
Remote start comes up with an error (7 flashes) I tried the auto trans. Method (ignition on then off, hold valet button until chirp 3x, release, push once and hold, hit lock on remote)

Still no start.

Performed soft reset on D-Ball (reset just the vehicle program, not the firmware reset) now having trouble programming D-Ball to the vehicle.

With everything connected, I started the vehicle with the key, and the message center on the dash comes up with the “security” message.

At this point, is there something I missed? Will I have to have the D-Ball programmed with the firmware again?

My connections are as follows.

If you disconnect the connectors from the DB-ALL, put a key in the ignition but DON'T turn the key. Try to remote start. What happens?

Did you do the TACH Learn?

do you have the "disable" toggle switch installed and set properly?

I would double check the CAN wires. Sounds like it's not talking to the car correctly.

Violet/Green and Violet/Brown connected together and spliced into the Yellow wire at the ignition.

Purple / YELLOW to pin 2 of the OBD connector.

If you are using D2D, you only need the 4 wires from the DBALL connected.

No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)
