Hi all,

I am trying to wire an Accele Electronics Wireless Keypad Keyless Entry system (similar to what Ford has from factory). I found some wiring documents identifying the wires from the BCM for the "Power Lock" & "Power Unlock", and in fact everything works fine if I BOTH lock and unlock the doors from the keypad... however, if the doors are locked from the factory keyfob or from inside the car before the doors are shut, the new keypad does not work... I assume this is because the car is put in an alarm state and thus the lock/unlock functions are disabled. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to remedy this? Do I need one of the special modules to override the alarm somehow? Many thanks.

I'm not sure exactly what firmware you would need, but you could use a idatalink remote start bypass to control the locks through data. Obviously disregard the remote start portion of it. The bypass makes the car think the factory key phob is being used. There website is idatalink.com and you could call or email them to point you in the right firmware/wiring schematic direction.

Thanks pts760. I spoke to iDataLink and they are going to refer to me to someone local to get this module. Hopefully this does the trick.
