I have a 04 dodge dakota with autopage rs1100 and idatalink module.

Everything worked fine for the first year and recently door lock fails sometimes.

When I hit unlock button , 2~3 times out of 10 attempts it fails. It chirps and unarms but does not open driver side door. After a couple of tries then it does open doors.
When I lock the vehicle , it arms but sometimes it leaves either driver's or passenger door open.

Checked all wirings and even replaced the alarm module , the idatalink module and the door lock actuators. It does samething with the new parts.

When I use factory remote , there is no problem at all.

I 2way d2d wire for the door lock and like I said , it worked fine the first year. What should I do ?

Other than updating firmware on the bypass there is not much you can do in d2d mode. Hardwiring will give you a chance to see what is failing, but most likely that in itself will fix the issue. Otherwise just hardwire the door locks from the alarm to the vehicle. Flash the bypass to ignore the door lock commands via d2d.

Thx , I will try it as soon as I get the resistors.
I guess d2d doesn't work good always.

No problem. Yeah d2d has its issues, but when it works, it works great. Always prep for reverting to w2w, and if there are no issues...great. If it fails, it isn't a disaster to switch to w2w, or to direct wiring to the car.

It's been a while since I made the changes like 'racerjames76' said , all works fine now. Thank you.
There is one small thing I still need to figure it out though. I used two relays with resistors in them and they all works fine but some times all three doors except driver's door fail to open.

Driver's door never fails , all doors never fail locking. When the ignition off , those three doors sometimes fail to unlock.

I see and hear actuator works but not in full motion. They only work like halfway and not fully unlock.

When I use oem remote and driver's master switch , they always work.

What should I look into ?

Sounds like a weak ground for the relays (resistors) or a timing issue where the unit is not grounding long enough. See if there is an option to extend the unlock pulse?

Tried all other options RS provides.

Double pulse , different trigger times and all.
One thing I dont understand is why not all doors but the driver's door.
