I have a 2004 Saturn Vue RL. Installed the Clifford 507.4x last year by car toys in Seattle. Moved to central Illinois last summer. So no access to original installers.

Issue: Saturn wasn't cranking. Found PCM bad and had to replace. Now remote start when triggered after a few seconds horn sounds (on/off).

I think it might have been tech diagnosing PCM and disconnected something but not sure. Any think to quick check?

Alarm functions as normal and not in valet mode.

Pretty certain that your vue only disarms with the factory remote or through a data interface module. You can try resetting the interface module.

To help with that we would need to know what interface is being used and what firmware is on it.

Give us the make and model number (likely) found on the smaller of the boxes under your dash.

Have you called the original install location? They may be able to help you at least gather information to help us or another tech local to you now.

I should clarify. The Alarm disarms and arms without incident. All Windows still roll up when armed as they did before.

The only issue present now is the Remote Start when triggered the LCD Remote starts as normal. Then within 5-10 seconds the Car Horn starts to go on and off.

I then click disarm and the horn stops.

I could be wrong but it still sounds like an interface issue...

So here are the two issues.

Remote Start, when clicked I hear sounds under the hood come on. Then the parking lights flash. Then it attempts again, and then once more. After the 3rd time it delivers "REMOTE START ERROR" to the LCD remote.

The other issue the car has after visiting the shop is the Climate Control Fan, A/C can be turned on without a key now. When you turn the car off the Rear Defrost light stays lit.

The answer is in my previous post. We need to know what interface you have in order to answer how to reset it. posted_image

They told me it's a "DBALL2 - Databus All Interface Module"

Hopefully this works

https://www.xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=9294&productid=553&firmwareid=6501

Page 16 describes how to reset the module. DO NOT do a hard reset.

After it is reset follow the instructions on page 14 for type 2 & 4 (4 being your vehicle).

Shop at it all day couldn't make headway. Went in this morning explained the theory that the remote start feeds the HVAC control during remote starting and that should turn off when the key is in and turned on.

They fixed it in an hour, during their diagnostic they hooked up the remote start wrong from the the first visit. All is working now.

Update. My car failed to start again. Now I removed the clifford brain and unplugged the T connectors and the car started up no problem. However, it then just dies.

Do I remove the DBALL as well? This is the DBALL I currently have.

Do I removed the DBALL and alarm. It was Passlock that was shutting down the car. I did the passlock relearn procedure and now car runs fine.

whew.
