I have a 96 s-10 blazer. his door lock moter fryed on him and he wants to replace it with aftermark actuators. I did not think it would be a problem before i found out it was five wire. if he replaces both OEM lock moters can he wire in the actuators? i am not 100% sure it will work, but wanted to run it by here first

Would this work

Just wire it as if it is going into an alarm. but just reversing the polarity. the swich is running into the BCU so wire in the relays there.

relay (one for lock and one for unlock)
85   12v from switch
86   chassis ground(would i need a resister)
30   actuator
87   +12v
87a chassis ground

i know it is a dum question but i would rather look dum a$$ then one who just fryed the CPU

Are thw factory actuators five wire, or are the new ones he purchased five wire? If the factory ones are two wire and the new ones are 5 wire, then thats no problem. Most 5 wire actuators, the wries are black, brown white, green and blue. You only need to use the green and blue wires. These are the actuator wires, the other 3 are actually switch wires. You ever seen a car where you unlock the drivers door with the key and all the the other doors unlock also? Thats cuz of 5wire actuators. The other 3 wires are actually a switch built into the actuator, that triggers the relays to power the rest of the actuators when this actuator is moved up or down.
