Hi guys
New member here. Just a little background. I am a fire alarm and commercial security/access installer. So the terminology will be most likely understood. I installed a Clifford 3.3 Responder LE on a 1999 ford Superduty Diesel truck. The alarm has worked flawlessly for 3 years now. The key fobs unfortunately have seen better days. The two way fob is really only one way.
I saw that a smart phone can be used to Remote lock unlock start and GPS track the vehicle. The alarm I have is compatible with the Smart Start DSM 250 module. I'm also looking to do a remote start but I don't know what is needed because my truck has a Wait to start for the glow plugs. Is this just a timer delay? We have similar relays and timers for building egress but rather than trying to reinvent the wheel buy the right parts
So far on the list I researched I need

DSM 250 module
Schematic or instructions on install
Delay module

What brands do I get. Also I seriously rather have a pro install the stuff. Is there anyone anybody recommends in Orange County California to do this install. Prefer a good installer not a hack.

Thank you.

A delay module is not needed, the remote start handles the wait to start. Since you want to have a pro install it you don't have to do any of the planning, let them worry about making it work.
