Hey guys, I purchased an Avital 2101 keyless entry module months ago. Finally got around to attempting to install it with my dad. I have a 2002 Civic.

My dad's got all the wire's connected the way the manual explained, and we think its ready to program. I followed the instructions of:

-turning the key to the "ON" position
-pressing the valet/programming switch (selecting the auto learn channel)
-pressing the switch again and holding....

but the LED indicator that is supposed to turn on never does.. so we can't get past that step.

Is there a way to test the module itself for functionality? Or am I doing something wrong during the programming process?

Thanks for any help

Show what you connected to where please.
Just a straight hardwire job why the need to program it?

-------------
Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

In fact at just looked at the install sheet, for your vehicle you need change none of the defaults and you don't need domelight supervision because your vehicle already has it.

The remotes that come with the unit are/should already be programmed to the unit.
