I have a 1998 gmc jimmy without factory keyless entry I am trying to install an aftemarket keyless entry and was wondering does this vehicle need to relays in order to get the doors to lock and unlock?

Audiovox has this info.

Power Lock     LIGHT BLUE     (+)     AT MODULE TO RIGHT OF GAS PEDAL UNDER CENTER OF DASH
Power Unlock     WHITE     (+)     AT MODULE TO RIGHT OF GAS PEDAL UNDER CENTER OF DASH

I do not know what kind of keyless you are using, but if it is an audiovox unit. You can connect the unlock wire to the lock wire of the vehicle, and connect the lock wire of the device to the unlock wire of the vehicle and you should not need a relay.

If the unlock wire of the viper has positive voltage on it during a lock cycle, then you will not need the relay. If it does not go positive you will need to use relays.

If the Viper has blue/black, GREEN/ black, WHITE/ black, BROWN / black, violet/black and violet, then relays aren't required.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
