I'm in the process of installing a Viper 5704 RS/alarm with a DBALL2 interface (D2D) in my 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid (no Smart Key). I uploaded the latest firmware for my car (402.FORD10 v1.12) into the module using my XKLoader. I went through the module programming instructions provided by XpressKit.com and I am having trouble getting the door locks to work. The car seems to recognize the DBALL2 unit as another transponder key because I get a "Key Programmed Successfully" message on my dash and the door locks cycle once just like they are supposed to for the normal Ford PATS system programming routine. The car will remote start just fine but the lock/unlock buttons on the Viper remote do not lock/unlock the doors. Strangely enough, the power trunk will release using the Viper remote and the interface will properly sense the Hood Pin status through the CAN bus. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've installed a few other RS/alarm units on my vehicles over the years so this isn't my first install. I always seem to have trouble getting an interface module to properly control the door locks so it must be something I'm doing. When I did my 2004 Corvette and 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT, I ended up hard wiring the door locks to make them work but there has to be a better way.

Thanks in advance!

Contact DEI directly. There are a few custom firmwares available for that car.

I played around with the various D2D settings and re-flashed the unit several times. I never was able to get the locks to work through the DBALL2. I ended up hard wiring them to the Viper R/S unit. It was a real pain to run the wires through the factory boot and connectors but I made it work.
