So my friend has been trying to get to to install a remote start on his 03 murano. For those of you who know me know i have installed several alarms but none on newer vehicles that require the DBALL thingy lol so its not something that i am familiar with. To be clear i do this for the love of electronics and not as a business and well ive never had anybody to train me other than my good friend the "internet".

So could someone give me some insight on this DBALL systems. From what ive read they make installations simpler but they can be temperamental. This murano is only looking for the remote start so nothing fancy just a remote start and maybe lock and unlock features. From what i understand all alarm wires go to the dball and other go to the BCM. Any ups or downs, different methods, suggestions, heck any tips would be greatly appreciated. so far we were looking at a avital 4103 for this setup. Let me know what you guys think.

Dball for that vehicle is overkill. Just buy a transponder bypass. Every connection you need to make is pretty much in the kick panel or bcm. Save some dough and just get a ads tb. If you've done them in the past. This one isn't exactly up there on the difficulty list.

dam that seems much more simple than those dball systems. Will definatelly do some research on this before getting started.

Yup that's the guy. It's easier than dball. The only thing with that car is 2nd starter. Everything else straight forward

Agree with Metz35, easy car and I'm a fan of iDatalink products.

Even cheaper is the Fortin CAN-SL2. You can usually find them for under $35. It comes pre-loaded with firmware and will handle the transponder bypass function and supply the Hood Pin status. While it says it can supply a Tach signal, it didn't work for me. For an alarm install, it says it can supply the door triggers and the trunk trigger, but I didn't need those signals so I'm not sure they work.
