My wife received a UltraStart G-11 for her birthday back in July.
It is new in the box but evidently its new old stock. There isn't a date printed anywhere in or on this package ( not even copyright date on the printed materials ).
I've learned that these remote starters aren't as complete or simple as stereos and other aftermarket goodies. We'll need a bypass module also. The interface and compatibility of yesterdays remote starter and todays bypass module is my mystery.
On one side of the G-11 there are 2 connections marked JP1 and JP2, identified as Bypass module** and Expansion module** respectively.
** footnote = Future use. I have a gut feeling that the JP stands for jumper.
I am prepared to purchase
FORTIN-KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL-ENCRYPTED-TRANSPONDER-DATA-BYPASS-MODULE
and proceed with the install using a pictorial found in this forum and information provided here...

So my question is, Should I ignore the JP1/Bypass module connection on the G-11 and proceed ?

It may be old but if it has a (-) ground while running output then it'll work with the bypass modules on the market today.
I must say a lovely gift to give a woman who doesn't have a history of working on car electrical and the gift giver doesn't offer to install it or have it installed.

OK, The bypass module is ordered and on the way. Hopefully by this time next Monday I'll have progress, update, more questions, something other than a fire sale. LOL

hello again folks,
Now I'm seeking info for wiper interrupt, so the wipers front and rear wont run under remote starter when wife fails to turn them off before exiting.
Replacing the 3 wiper blades with least expensive from part store cost me 37 and change :(

OK will I find both front and rear wiper switches supplied by a single blue wire ?
