I have a 2007 chrysler pacifica with idatalink ads-dl-ch6 and clifford 4205x one button RS here.

after installation , remote start the car then dash says invalid key and car dies 2-3 seconds after. I put the key in the ACC. and try it again , same.   Now I put the key in IGN and try it again , it works and car stays running.

If I hit the remote again to shut if off , remote sounds the shut off melody but car is still running.

When I first downloaded the installation manual from idatalink , doc#3743 , J1850 should be in #4 in the skim module WHITE/ violet

What I have there is PURPLE / blk and it doesn't look j1850 wire at all.

IGN and ACC wire is put together in the connector of the skimm.

Here is the connections I have made , all soldered btw.

RS H1/1 (-)200mA factory alarm disarm output-----disarm-brown /bypass
H1/8 ground input -------------------------------chassis ground

H3/1 (-)neutral safety switch input--------------chassis ground
H3/2 Tach input----------------------------------tach output /bypass
h3/3 brake shutdown input------------------------brake pedal switch

heavy gauge
1 red -------------------------------------------battery with fuse
2 pink/2nd ign/acc ------------------------------NC
3 red--------------------------------------------battery with fuse
4 orange-------------------#3 skimm connector - one of the two ACC/IGN
5 purple-------------------yellow wire/ skimm connector
6 pink --------------------cut #4 wire from skimm connector then car
 side of the cut wire.

4 pin satellite
1 blue (-)200 mA status output--------GWR(-)input / bypass

doorlock 3pin
1 blue------------------------------------------unlock input/bypass   2 green-----------------------------------------lock/arm input/bypass

BYPASS module

no DBI cable used since Clifford RS doesn't have connection for idatalink.

left 4pin
blue/white GWR----------RS status output
blk/ground--------------chassis ground
RED / 12v-----------------battery
GREEN/ blk/lock----------green wire from RS 3pin door lock
blue/blk-unlock---------blue wire from RS 3pin door lock
RED / white-trunk input---NC , btw when it sees (-) , rear hatch opens
        or closes.
brown-disarm------------h1/1 disarm output

blk/white-starter(+)input------starter wire from skimm connector

green-door status output ------NC
purple white-tach--------------H3/2 tach input

right side
WHITE/ blk -----------------cut IGN wire from skimm and connector side
WHITE/ red
pink-IGN -------------------both to car side IGN wire ( pink heavy gauge wire is also put together)

ORANGE / blk -----------------ground (oem alarm only)
orange-data-----------------#2 obd2 port WHITE/ violet

when I hit the remote , it does not lock before the starting.

please educate me :(

I did perform tach learning as the clifford manual said.
Also programmed the idatalink module too.

Lock before starting is something the remote starter would have to do unless the vehicle does it itself. Generally remote starters will/can disarm/unlock before starting and relock afterwards.

You need to go over the idatalink install guide again, it specifically states J1850 is pin #2. Also ACC isn't needed for remote start so I'm not sure why your using it nor do I understand why your ignition connections are at the SKIM connector instead of the ignition switch connector. The ignition switch connector is kitty corner from the skim so there's no reason to try to not use it. The same goes for your J1850 connection, it's at the SKIM which you already have all your wires but you ran it to the OBD2 port.

Your symptoms sound like a ignition wiring issue but I can't rule out a bypass that isn't programmed to the vehicle or isn't bypassing properly.

The reason why I ran j1850 from obd port is the wire colour from my car skimm is different from the manual. When I ground the wire it acts like I put the key in and no 12v through out any key position. Tried that wire to the bypass module as the instruction anyway and that made any difference.

I connected the heavy gauge ACC output to skimm ACC wire according to the instruction.

When I look at the skimm connector , two same colour wires do the same thing for IGN and ACC.

The car will start with the remote starter but not continue to run, did the idatalink programming go successfully? Do you have the idatalink in W2W/Hardwire mode?

Problem solved !

Looked up xpresskit bypass installation manual and bulldog security website install info.

They have lot more information and I was able to find two problems.

There was another IGN wire called sentry IGN.
Idatalink was supposed to grab that wire not the one from skim.

Tach learning was set to 'virtual tach' and I only needed to change it to 'voltage' option.

Everything is working fine now, thank you all

Glad you got it figured out.

Just so you and others know SKIM = Sentry Key Immobilizer Module.
