I would just like to start off by saying what a great forum for information!
I am new to this forum, of course (1st post) But not my first rodeo in the forum world..
So I will cut to the chase with my opening post...
I installed for about 7 years (nights & weekends) at an independently owned shop..
Most of my experience was with the audio, & not security etc.
Well, I've had a Viper 591xv (keyless W/Remote Start) in my toolbox for many years, & have decided to install it in my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins Turbo Diesel...
I do have the wiring diagram (which of course I got off here)
Is there anything "weird" I should know about diving into this?
My truck DOES NOT have the factory keyless, so no worries there..
And I have heard contrasting arguments on whether you need relays for the starter?

Any help would be great!
Again.. Thanks for a great forum to get info off of!!
(I'll hang up & listen to your answers)

There are two black plugs, the wire is in the top plug without the white insert. If using the ORANGE / black for wait to start causes a shifting or cruise control problem then use a pulse timer relay instead. Or not use the wait to start and program the system for a pre determined timed wait period.

Thanks for the heads up!!
I will most likely be tackling this on Saturday or Sunday (depending on weather)
If the weather is decent, I will be on the golf course...
If NOT... Then I guess it's a knuckle busting weedend!!
