Have a CM6200 brain, 1BAMR remote, ANT 1BAM antennae in a '97 Saturn SL1 auto, absolute basic install.   Remote will arm/disarm (park/antennae lights indicate) by remote (single press/double press) but does NOTHING when asked to start car (3 second press).    Nor do the park lights indicate any error codes.    Solution???

Strange that the Parking Lights don't blink at all.  If you were in Valet Mode, you should see 10 Blinks.

Any chance you did not cut the GREEN / WHITE Auto/Manual loop inside the controller?

Soldering is fun!

The SL1 came w/ this "professionally' installed remote start when we bought it a year ago.   Worked great last winter; now that -20 is here AGAIN we have no remote start.    Strange indeed there's no error indication fr the park lights yet I can arm/disarm via remote just as op manual states.    Compustar "customer support" is "go to your installer", meaning NONE, as I have no idea who installed it.    Previous experience (another vehicle - reprogram remote) w/ a "professional" installer cost me $45 for (maybe) 2 min work(?).    I might HAVE TO consult a Compustar installer anyways; hoping for some ideas here before making an hr+ round trip.

try key on then off 5 times quickly and see if that works.

That is how one synchs the remotes to the CM6200 'brainbox'; already did, no diff. The CM6200 recognizes the remote; otherwise it wouldn't cycle arm/disarm.   Just need ideas why car won't start.   Thanks.

Sounds like its in valet mode

Hit buttons 1 and 3 at same time to get out

See post 1; "1BAMR remote" (single button).    Sorry, I should have made that more clear.   And already taken out of valet mode by synching remote as per CM6200 Remote Programming Routine ("To exit Valet Mode just program remote(s).").    Or does option 3-10 override the Remote Programming Routine?    The CM6200 install manual doesn't seem clear on that.    Thanks.

VERY basic install; no hood trigger or park brake hook up.   Anyways, problem solved!!! Finally connected w/ Compustar tech support & quickly resolved.   I completely forgot that in order to start, the remote needs a momentary squeeze followed by a 3 sec squeeze.    Reason is CM6200 'brain' needs a 'wake up call' before it can respond to a start command.    ALL GOOD NOW!   Mid -20s here today; as far as the car is concerned, let the deepfreeze continue.........

Already posted but I can repeat here:

Your first effort should be contact your installer, if known.   Second is have all your info (vehicle, Compustar model #s etc) and contact Compustar tech support.    I've lost the contact ph #; Google is your friend.    Good luck!
