Hi,

I bought a used 2005 Subaru Forester with a single remote start fob. Everything works.

I got under the dash, but could not find the box. It must be tucked away somewhere.

My goal is figure out what brand this is and buy another remote. I also want to then look up the programming instructions. At the moment, it starts with a single press, which makes me uneasy. I'd like it to take a long press, or a combination of presses to start.

Does this look familiar to any of you? Thank you.

No mystery there.  It's an Ultra Start one-way AM remote.  Typically used with their U1272 system.

Here is a link to the Ultra Start WEB site for the install and user guides :  https://www.ultrastarters.com/manuals.htm

You can program it for a "two press" remote start-up.

Kreg,

Awesome. Thanks very much. I went to one local installer chain and an independent shop and both claimed to have never seen this model before.

I appreciate it!
