So I'm going to be installing a Viper 5706 in a 2005 f250 truck. At first I wanted the glass break sensor, tilt and proximity sensor. Now from reading it seems like to just get the proximity. Maybe the tilt sensor?

What do you guys think is worth getting? Will I be able to setup the 508d properly in a big truck cab? Any pointers?

I'm going to install one piezo inside the cab by tapping off of the external siren. I can just add one piezo off of the external siren power wire right? Is the radio shack one the best, or go with a DEI pain generator one?

Do you have alloy wheels? Then yes a tilt sensor.
As for 508d placement years of experience tells me to suck it and see, trial and error I'm afraid, even centre roof and extend the wiring.
Again extra sirens, DON'T tap off main siren, the brown output won't take the load, also as to piezo, you takes your choice I'm afraid. Go for the loudest/most painful.

Thanks. Where can I hook the interior piezos to? Which wire?

I have stock wheels but rare, and people covet them.

I'm afraid I won't be able to get the 508 set up correctly. The truck has a sun roof too.

Use your brown siren wire to relay, wire thus:-
Brown to siren, attach lead to relay 86,
85 ground
87 to 5 amp constant 12V+
30 to Piezo (up to 5).
What's wrong with a 508d
a) rear of sunroof
b) forward of sunroof
c) centre console
d) beneath rear window.
The reason you've had to bump is that your questions are rather basic and naive with extremely simple answers.

Yeah well I have bought one yet, I'm trying to get it all going prior to installing it. I've read some horror stories about the 508 not being able to get setup correctly.

Setting it up is all down to patience and perseverance.
Wish they'd kept the digital prox from G5 Clifford, a much better product.

Will the g5 work on the viper 5706? I know an old guy at work that may have one...

Now that I re-resd what you posted,I'm guessing you're talking about the ollddd style/ones. Not the current g5 proximity sensors that can be bought?

G5 is Clifford propriety tech developed before the DEI takeover.
No not compatible.
