Installing the avital 5303 with the expresskit gmdlbp and have it almost completely finished except 2. One is the door trigger which im sure i have figured out, i just got the relay and am going to wire it up in a bit.

The issue however thats driving me nutty is that when i unlock the door it locks right back up after about 5 seconds. I cant for the life of me determine whats going on with that.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am sure i set it to mode 2 but Ill double check tomorrow when i get a chance. I know these interfaces can be a pain.

Just reset it and redid it with option 2. Same results. I unlock the vehicle and it flashes the lights a few times honks and locks. I know its not the security unit as i dont have it hooked up to the horn or the lights at all.

So for anyone curious i went through 2 xpresskits in this car and neither worked for doodie went out and wired up a fortin and its flawless now. For future reference the Int-SL+ by fortin does the trick unlike the xpresskit that claims compatibility and wont work at all.
