After searching around I see that the DBALLs can be temperamental. I haven't found anyone experiencing this exact issue so I am curious. Has anyone seen a DBALL2 after being flashed, not display the same features that it should?

I have a DBALL2 flashed with GM 1.09, the printout says it will have 4 features in total. 1,3,4,5 .. however when I enter program mode the red light flashes the following times. 1, 2 & 3. I have never seen it go 4 or 5 red flashes, I have no clue what option 2 is and according to the instructions pressing the program button cycles it through the features.. yea.. well.. it doesn't. Sometimes it does and other times if i press the lock/unlock it does. This thing is so finicky. All I want to do is get the damn heated seats option to work (which I THINK is tied into the rear defrost cuz that doesn't work either.) Am I going to have to try and re flash this thing 10 times? I have to say how disappointed I am in Xpress for ONLY supporting dealers. You have NO idea how frustrating that is. If I knew that before I bought it, I would have gone another route.

Unfortunately yes.
I installed to a Skoda last Sunday, D2D, customer phoned me yesterday to tell me it had failed, telling him brakes are on. I'll have to change that to hardwire for the brakes.
Ah well.

Cant really give help when you dont even say what car its going into. Best way to turn on the seats and defrost is when flashing. Also it usually is set to turn on below a certain temp. Dont blame the product.

Here is an update to this issue.

After flashing the DBALL2 multiple times, when I unplug and then plug it back in and it detects the current flash and says the seats are enabled @ +5 degrees the way I had it set. However, if I click the 'More' link under Features it does NOT display the heated seats option and still does not work. Also, is it possible that I may have to energize that circuit using the Satellite harness to the Brown ACC wire? That seems like a roundabout way to do it and therefore would not be controlled by the DBALL2.

Last update. The seats and rear defrost are working now. Apparently the multiple flashes did the trick and I guess it just wasn't cold enough when I tested. Not sure where it pulls the temperature from, I figured the same sensor that tells you the outside temp but they weren't coming on when the temp was 30 degrees (seats set to come on at 40). It was 12 degrees today and they came on.

Thanks for the update.  On some vehicles, the Temp comes from the engine coolant temp sensor.

Sometimes the trick is to flash the first time with all settings cleared, then flash again with the desired settings.
