So I have everything installed on a 2012 Prius using installed type 3 402.TL2 v3.09.0. I just can't seem to get the viper 4706v unit/brain to go into programming mode. Prius have push starts so you can't cycle the key on and off to go into programming mode for the viper unit. According to the installation instructions from xpress.kit for the dball2 type 3 for 2012 prius, I didn't have to hook up the ignition/start/accessory/and power wires (wires from the heavy gauge) harness? So if you don't hook those wires up, how are you going to power up the brain to get into programming mode for the viper unit 4706v unit? What wire's on the heavy gauge powers the brain on viper units? Please advise....posted_image

Use the red + and black - on the H1 connector, see bottom left showing the remote start unit.

Heavy gauge ignition should be used

If that's the case, red at H3 should also be used. Although the diagram doesn't show it.

I wouldn't worry about a heavy gauge pink at ignition on H3, the DB-ALL2 delivers ignition sense to the R/S, all low current.
