Hello all. I Installed the 2 way remote start Viper 4205v and xpress kit DLPK. I followed the instructions on the PDF for the 08-09 Muranos (I was told it was the same for 2011) and the remote start does not work. When pressing the remote start button, the parking lights flash a few times then go off. Nothing else happens.. I followed the procedure for "Remote Start Shutdown Diagnostics" and it flashes 7 for Neutral safety shutdown. I rechecked the diagram for that part and even tried grounding the blk/white wire off the RS unit. Also used a test light to see if the RS is outputting voltage for start relay and nothing. Still didn't start. The vehicle operates correctly with the key but nothing with the remote start works.

DLPK---> Car wiring
Orange - Car LED light
Yellow - BCM pin 30 for LED
ORANGE / Green - OBD2 plug pin 6
ORANGE / Brown - - OBD2 plug pin 14
Pink - BCM + ignition 1 (pin11) brown

Viper 4205v ----> Car wiring
Heavy gauge relay

Red,Red - BCM 12v+ battery white
Pink - BCM brown Ignition 1+ (pin11) brown
Pink/white - power for relay to GND Ignition 2- (pin127) blue
Orange - BCM Accessory 2+ (pin24)blue and Accessory 1+ (pin 31)Yellow

Purple - power for relay to GND Start 1- (pin 132) red

Primary Harness
Black - Chassis ground
White - Red, parking light wire in kick panel

Remote Start Harness
Brown - Brake switch+ BCM (pin7) blue

Door Lock
Blue - lock/arm- (pin 37)
Green - Unlock/disarm- (pin 15)

Hooked up relay under the hood for neutral safety circuit. Anything else I should check or just start over again?
Attached is the DLPK diagrams and RS diagram.

Could I manually active the circuitry by completing the circuit for ign 1, ign 2 then start? to test the wiring?

Think I would start over.  It looks grim, with many missing connections.  I don't have a connector pin-out for the 4205V.  Perhaps you could supply the complete connectors from the brief 2 page install guide you have and we could go from there.  Something  like this one from the 4103 :

Avital 4103

H1/1  LIGHT GREEN/ BLACK  FACTORY ALARM DISARM
H1/2  GREEN / WHITE  FACTORY REARM
H1/3  YELLOW  (+) IGNITION OUT (TO ALARM)
H1/4  WHITE/ BLUE  (-) ACTIVATION INPUT
H1/5  ORANGE  (-) GROUND WHEN LOCKED
H1/6  BROWN  (-) HORN OUTPUT
H1/7  RED / WHITE  (-) TRUNK RELEASE OUTPUT
H1/8  BLACK  GROUND
H1/9  WHITE  (+/-) LIGHT FLASH

H2/1  BLACK/ WHITE  (-) NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH INPUT
H2/2  VIOLET/WHITE  TACHOMETER INPUT WIRE
H2/3  BROWN  (+) BRAKE SWITCH SHUTDOWN WIRE
H2/4  GRAY  (-) HOOD PINSWITCH SHUTDOWN WIRE
H2/5  BLUE/WHITE  (-) 200mA 2ND STATUS/REAR DEFOGGER OUTPUT

4-pin satellite harness diagram
1  BLUE  STATUS OUTPUT
2  ORANGE  (-) ACCESSORY OUTPUT
3  PURPLE  (-) STARTER OUTPUT
4  PINK  (-) IGNITION OUTPUT

5  PINK/WHITE  (+) PROGRAMMABLE OUTPUT FOR ACCESSORY OR IGNITION
6  RED  (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12V INPUT

Door lock harness, 3-pin connector

I forgot to mention I am using the D2D method so a lot of connections should go through the xpress kit via canbus. Here is the connections page for the 4205v: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/705098/Viper-4205v.html?page=18#manual

I tried using the satellite relay harness like you suggested and still the same issue. I originally had my wiring all the same as yours minus the trunk and rear defrost. Still didn't work.

Did the DLPK program correctly as per the install guide?

Any additional symptoms you can offer?  Dash lights, Viper flashes or shutdown diagnostics, crank / no crank, etc.

Sorry, I'm not a big DEI user.  My "go to" bypass modules are iDatalink, which has totally different connections.

The dlpk appeared to be programmed correctly. I followed the directions and the status light idicated the programming was complete. The shutdown dignostics say it's a neutral safety wire issue. I even grounded that wire directly to chassis. Besides the remote start not working, all other aspects of the vehicle remain working the same.

the neutral safety an be grounded, but is the switch plugged in?

Yes with this install they have you out a replay in the underhood fuse box for neutral safety. This is shown in The dlpk manual I posted. The stock switch is intact. The instructions did not say to hook up the neutral safety wire on the RS. I tried both ways with that wire. I know the stock safety switch works since the car starts with the key.

Im not talking about the IPDM relay under the hood.

On the starter unit, ground the Neutral safety wire directly to ground. Plug in the switch provided to the unit, and make sure its switched to on. Personally I just snip the switch off and connect the wires together.

I've tried grounding the neutral safety wire from the remote start unit straight to chassis. I will try that once more when I get home.

I got it working. It ended up being 2 issues. 1. I needed to connect the wire for neutral safety to a better ground location. 2. the under hood neutral safety relay wasn't fully activating under the hood. I replaced it with another new relay and it works!

I did have one more question. With this RS and the push to start on the Murano, I'm not sure if something else needs power activated. When I start it with the RS and then push the push to start button to ON, the car continues to run like normal. The weird thing is that some options on the navigation screen and seat settings are missing like you didn't have the car running. When I shut the car off and turn it back on without the remote start, the options are back. Any clue why? The BCM is powered the way DIRECTED ELECTRONICS designed it to work.

check your wiring if both acc are working.

personally, the dlpk was the only solution at the time for this vehicle, but the evo-all or idatalink piece is much better. The bypasses evolved so no more ipdm relay under the hood, secure takeover, less wiring, etc

I see that now. Wished I would have known that originally. I would have went with a dball unit. I have checked both wires as they are working like the diagram shows. I'm not sure if that's something that just happens with this vehicle or if I'm pressing the start button in the car too fast or something.
