Hello,

I have been installing DEI remote starters for a while, friend asked to swap over a cm3000 and i have it in my hands, and have a few questions.

first off, the 2nd acc/ign/start. I assume theres a relay made where I just straight connect one of these wires to the corresponding alt/ign/start wire on the car?

second question, I have the starter-kill output wire here, and normally I never use it on the DEI but I came across this post:

does it need to be wired up? (plan to leave it off and see if the ignition cranks too long with it)

thanks in advance

well, finished the car, it didnt require any 2nd acc/ign/start connections

also i didnt use the anti grind/starter kill as it seemed to work great without that hooked up.

I guess I would manually wire a seperate relay for the 2nd functions, unless anyone knows for the future how does it work for a compustar brain like the cm3000.

all the new compustar units FT7X00 has 3 programmable outputs for ign acc or start.

compustar alarm start brains that you have, al include the relay for anti grind. Its prewired up to the latest 7x00 generation. Not necessary to use, but the antigrind feature is nice.
